MAR recently distributed mosquito nets and provided food and treatment to malaria affected families in the Hiiraan region of Somalia.
Due to the recent floods the mosquito population has increased. This is due to stagnant water left behind giving birth to swarms of mosquitoes, threatening the community particularly those most affected by the floods and without shelter.
The distribution of nets is part of our vector control method to limit the spread of malaria during the wet season.
We aim to distribute more with your help!
